About the Homeless Warriors Housing Program

To further its mission, the WSF initiated the Homeless Warrior Housing Program (“HWHP”) in response to calls for action from federal, state and local governments to address the homeless crisis affecting cities across the United States and to confront homelessness amongst our nation’s veterans impacted by the crisis. The HWHP centers on providing homeless Veterans with transition and permanent housing benefits and services as needed.

The WSF plans to continue compliance with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (via their VA foreclosure program) and Wells Fargo via its Community & Urban Stabilization and Development Program (CUSP), as well as the various government assistance programs in order to secure continued access to additional properties within Virginia and select cities around the United States. Ultimately, the WSF’s strategy will ensure that its platform for housing and community development for homeless veterans is scable and easily replicable.
